Kent Fielding
Kent Fielding – teacher, coach, poet – has taught at Skagway School for the past 15 years and coached State Championship teams in Speech and Debate. Before coming to Skagway he taught in the Marshall Islands and at Jefferson Community College in Louisville, KY. Author of a book of poetry, Chief Iffuccan, and a chapbook, The Revolution is about to Begin, his work has appeared in Prairie Schooner, The Asheville Poetry Review, The Jefferson Review, Pavement Saw, Modern Haiku, The Beat Scene, Frisk Magazine, and Tidal Echoes, and Keeping the Flame Alive (which nominated a poem for a Pushcart Prize). He also has edited Before the Grave, a book of poems by his friend D.S. Poorman, and co-edited the forthcoming Critical Interpretations on Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (the Hunter S. Thompson classic).
